Duncan's are my go to plumbers - they're responsive and reasonably priced. The lads have always worked quickly so that it's rare I've had to pay more than the call-out fee plus the first half hour. Usually the main plumber is accompanied by a trainee which means the work gets done faster with two sets of hands.

Had these guys out to replace the anode in an electric hot water heater. They billed me 90 minutes of labour for unscrewing the old anode and screwing in a new one. They then overcharged by $100 for the anode itself. When I asked why the anode was so expensive, they claimed they had accidentally added a "1" in front of the actual price (so $192 instead of $92). No apology was offered. Makes you wonder how many times such accidents happen.

Jake and his apprentice came on time, did a great job . They knew what they were doing, didn't waste any time.Polite, cleaned after themselves and took all the empty boxes and garbage with them. Charged me as quoted, good workmanship. Will definitely use them again in the future.

OK for simple jobs (installed new toilet cistern & two new outside taps and new tank pump), but they did not find where our shower drain was leaking despite under our house being soaked with water. I found the fracture in the terracotta pipe myself and called them back, they did a quick temporary seal and promised to quote on a proper fix, never heard from them again despite me calling their office to again ask for the quote. Based on that I would not use them again as a felt they were costly and didn't bother to find the leak nor quote as promised.
