Gem Garage Doors

After years of procrastination my wife convinced me to install a motor on our garage door. Had Gem install a Merlin Motor and am very happy with both the service provided by Gem's technicians and the motor. Highly recommended.

Don’t waste your time - they’re impenetrable. After I enquired of GEM about a new garage door they emailed me a quote. It had very little detail of what was to be supplied and I’ve called them three times over the last two weeks to clarify. Each time I’ve been told they “don’t have a technician available and I’ll have one call you back”, but I’m yet to receive a call. I’m yet to speak to any “technician” and most recently I was told the owner would call me, but that hasn’t happened either.

I wish all trades were as professional, efficient and friendly as GEM Garage Doors. Andrew and Shannon repaired my door (broken cable) and installed a new opener. Looks and works great! They were quick and clean - would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Really impressed with these guys! We had a garage door that needed urgent attention as we couldn't close it or secure our home, called 3 other garage companies who were too busy to have a look. Gem got back to us straight away, came around within the hour and not only got it to close, but fixed and serviced it. We thought we may have needed a costly new door and were just desperate to get it closed until we could get it replaced, so we were pleasantly surprised with their quick response and cost to fix. Would definitely recommend and use Gem again.

I chose GEM because of their Google reviews and I wasn't disappointed. When I asked the lady on the phone if they could send someone out to inspect my faulty door and explained the symptoms - she interrupted, telling me it may not need repair and might be fixable with some guidance over the phone (how good is that).
Shannon called 5 minutes later and deduced that, unfortunately, my door needed to be looked at. He came past on the way home at 5:30pm. Courteous and friendly - but the bringer of bad tides - while I knew my door's glory days were but a distant memory - I wasn't prepared for the diagnosis

Highly recommended! Very knowledgable, efficient and nice people.
We used Ace Garage Doors to fix our garage door about a year ago, but the two garage door remote controls they gave us felt apart not long afterward (one of them stop working altogether).
Recommended by Barrenjoey Locksmiths (as they couldn't help us), we went with GEM Garage Doors this time and they helped us to upgrade to genuine remote controls, which look and feel solid and won't fall apart like the others we had.

Had a motorised aluminium door installed and GEM did a great job and left the garage cleaner than they found it. A real bonus after having tradies in and out for 6 months who left their mess for us to clean up. Good value, easy communication and great product range - highly recommended
