Founded in 2013, Winston Yong Architects is a Melbourne based architecture and interior design studio, driven by innovative design thinking and site responsive architecture. With an inherent awareness towards embedded sustainability, the practice is also dedicated to creating architecture that is informed by context, and the cues that can be drawn from landscape to inform design.
With extensive experience in both high-end single and multi-residential projects, our design philosophy is focused around quality client and user outcomes. We work closely with our clients to determine functional briefs, designing built-form responses that are thoughtful and well considered. We are motivated by contemporary methods and bold architectural statements; qualities we seek to represent through our own design language.

Services
Doncaster Townhouse I residential project, consisting of three, 4-bedroom townhouses on a challenging, irregularly shaped site. The opportunity from our client came with the challenge of responding to dramatic falls across the site, with a 5.5m change in level from street front to the rear of the site.
Our Elgar Hill project consists of two townhouses arranged one behind the other on a linear site. The site itself sits at the highest point of Elgar Road and takes full advantage of the views toward Port Phillip Bay, Mount Dandenong, and the Box Hill Skyline. The consideration for these townhouses was centered around creating two family-sized homes, and were designed to house three generations of family living under one roof.
