My parents came to visit for the holidays and I saw the opportunity to spend a couple days here at Cariblue and was blown away! The rooms are cozy, the service is lovely, and the breakfast was one of my favorite parts to look forward to every morning. Continently located right across the beach, you are surrounded by restaurants and super close to nearby supermarkets to get anything you may need. My family and I loved our stay!

Upon arrival, it seemed they were not interested in accommodating a solo traveler. I was early for check in and they didn’t even offer to hold my bags until my room was ready. When I asked to be shown where my room was, I was rudely shown on a map. When I returned to get my key, the couple in front of me was given a welcome drink. I informed the same girl as earlier that I was not given one. My bags had not been placed in my room and it smelled so bad I had to spray bug repellant all over the place.

We can't say enough wonderful things about this resort that has become a home away from home for us. Our family has been traveling to this resort throughout the last 15 or so years and we have brought at least that many people to experience the wonderful hospitality that is offered here. There is a perfect mix of jungle, beach and relaxation here that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. The accommodations are clean and unique in the best way. Bungalows are the way to go for us but every room that we have been in has been great. Breakfast is included and plentiful; fresh fruit, eggs cooked

I was a little disappointed with this hotel. It looked awesome but as soon as we got there, the problems started. We had to wait 2 hrs for our room to be ready. In the room, when I tried to plug in the hair dryer, the entire outlet came out with it and had no power. We left the room for them to fix it. Also, our room and 3 others completely lost power 3 times during our stay. One of those times it was hours before we got power back. The shower head was so crusted with water buildup that is was hard to wash ourselves. Also, the AC is placed in a corner of the room kind of hidden from the rest of

The restaurant, where we ate both breakfast and dinner, served excellent food! We had rice and beans every morning and they were to die for! The bungalow was cozy and surrounded by all of the nature that Costa Rica has to offer. The air conditioning was powerful and kept the bungalow cool. The resort has so many animals on property such as poison dart frogs, which was really cool to see. All of the staff was very attentive and accommodating. They helped us with any questions we had. The only reason I gave four stars is because of the spotty WiFi service that went in and out throughout our stay

I was so excited to be going to this hotel and perhaps my anticipation was too great. We are a family of 6, 4 teenage children. We paid $550 for two nights so it wasn't cheap. We are used to paying good prices but in exchange expect a decent place to stay. I choose this hotel as it was airconditioned. My husband was familiar with the hotel as he is in the tour business and has taken clients there.
When we arrived we were expecting two of the cute-looking cottages. Instead, they took us to another area of the property that we were told was recently purchased. It was a dump and that is being kind

2 couples for 5 nights. Very nice and clean rooms. People were great and very accommodating. The manager never said hi or asked how things were and ate in the restaurant while talking loudly in Spanish on the phone. Bartender/waiter Jr. was fantastic. The food was great but on two nights they were out of beef, at least one day no burger or cream brûlée, and no blue cheese. One evening they ran out of Imperial beer. Leads me to believe that they are running on a shoestring. Beautiful setting and buildings with thatched roofs, unfortunately they are not maintaining, a number of roofs had either

This place was very beautiful and it was a surprised to see how nice it was. The rooms were very clean and the installations as well. It has a nice parking lot in a beautiful restaurant with delicious food.
The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is due to the customer service we received in the main lobby. The first day we thought the guy was just too busy to welcome us in the proper way, but the following day we found out it was the same thing.
