The preparation was the most crucial step as this is what the future coats had to adhere to. No dilution to the paint, do not add water as this breaks down the paint molecules and harms the finish, the paint can not do what it was designed to do, so straight from the can was our motto. The repainting experience also taught me what tradies were doing wrong on new houses.
Important because if the work is subbed out to a contractor the total price starts to get divided up and the worker on your job will receive less money and can provide an inferior job. Provide a clear list of what needs painting and hand that to each painter quoting on your job. New interior paint should be left to cure prior to washing.
