David Taig completed his French Polishing apprenticeship with highly respected 'Tessa' Furniture in 1979.

They absolutely don't make furniture like they used to. Have an old piece of furniture or any other timber item restored and you will have it for life. David recently restored a very old high chair that converts to a push car and a rocking chair. It was very old and has been very neglected in the past 20 years. I thought it cold not be salvaged but then I contacted David and he has restored it to its former glory so it can be used again and admired. I am so happy. Before and after photos.

I didnt get work done by Dave,reason being when I asked if he could fix up my 100+ year old veneered top dining table,his response was that I would be better off replacing the table, yes the table has some damage to the veneer but Definetly not enough to throw the table away. I don't find this very professional in anyway. I understand some jobs are just too hard for some people, but you dont tell your clients to replace a sentimental piece of furniture.

Dave restored 6 ballon antique chairs for us as well an antique side table. We are very happy with his work and great value for money.
