Services
Bax Doors Pty Ltd was established by Norman Baxter in partnership with his nephew Paul Norrie in 1964. Bax Doors was originally quite a large company and manufactured doors for customers and dealers all over Australia. In 1983 Bax Doors ceased the manufacturing side of the business due to our competition using cheaper materials thus providing cheaper doors.
There are many different types of garage doors available, with most of them designed so that they can be tailored to meet a customer's specific needs. Whether you are replacing an existing door or adding a garage door to your property Bax Doors can cater for all your garage door needs. We supply and install a wide range of B&D garage doors that come in a large range of Colorbond colours and profiles to suit any home.
Sectional garage doors are made from a number of rigid sections/panels that are hinged together and move vertically in the opening, then horizontally along the ceiling, guided by tracks and counter-balanced with springs. Panelift Icon includes all the key features of Panelift and more, including a huge range of colours and design choices.
Roller garage doors comprise of a ribbed steel curtain that moves vertically in the opening and rolls up and around the drum, guided by tracks and counterbalanced with springs. They are particularly suitable for garages and sheds where there is plenty of headroom above the opening and where a traditional look is required.
Garage doors need regular maintenance in order to operate correctly and safely. Parts can wear or even break leaving your door inoperable or dangerous. Garage door lifting systems involve springs under great tension and repairs shouldn't be attempted by untrained persons. We service and repair all garage doors from any manufacturer.

Main garage door timber jambs have rotten over the years due to lack of maintenance. Need a repair job to replace timber jambs, all new fittings (except the door itself).
It's been a pleasure to deal with Bax Doors as a business, the process of quoting, onsite inspection and job allocation, get work done process & experience was smooth, Sarah helped to get things organised.
Brad did the inspection and answered my (stupid) questions patiently. The job was delayed due to COVID soft lockdown & stay-at-home orders until NSW was re-opened. On the day, Brad & David did an excellent job, the tilt door

We live in Turramurra, a suburb between Hornsby and Chatswood (north of Sydney). We first have automatic roll-the-doors from Bax Door back for more than twenty years now. I still remember the "HUGE" gentleman who was the owner/operator of the BAX Door Company who came to do the installation himself. Later on, I learned that he was nick-named the "gentle giant'". I couldn't agree more as he would be the biggest forward in any football code. Yet, he was so gentle and so softly speaking that his demeanour didn't seem to match his size. Very old garage door failed when operated where the link to the chain had fractured. Door is about 25 years old. Called Bax and they made a date and said they would call on the day. They did and arrived on time. Even though the door is old they had the spare part and it was fitted in short time. Great result and all went to the timing advised. Recommend Bax doors for sure.

Small job to automate older style door. Job was completed OK despite minor complications and owner Gus was accommodating in that respect.
Although I'm happy with the result, the experience was poor. Among other bumps, the technician seemed to have a sour attitude toward me from the beginning, and circumstances cause me to question his integrity.
Gus has, however, acted in good faith to address my concerns.

Fabulous workmanship. Gus and David are perfectionists when it comes to the product they deliver. We first had them replace a damaged garage door (recommended by B&D Doors). Whist there, we asked if they could sort out motorising a large gate. 5 people had previously looked at this and no one could do it - couldn't even get quote from any of these. Gus got this sorted, so we have now had them do further gates and fencing. Have been stoked with their pricing on each of the jobs (compared pricing against competitor on first job, but by last job, trusted them enough not to worry about getting quote
