Housespec recently built our new home in Ivanhoe. The site had very narrow access, which some builders wouldn't even consider. Housespec was fabulous. They kept the site very clean, were considerate of the neighbours and did great job navigating through all the issues associated with Covid (supply, lockdowns etc). The quality of the build is very good - they clearly take pride in their work. They are always happy to talk through changes and suggestions and I found them to be very reasonable in this regard. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone considering a new build

Communication was impeccable, coordination of tradesmen and supplies was very impressive and they moved confidently through the numerous build stages. I transacted some variations along the way, to which they accommodated willingly and masterfully. They complied with evolving OH&S and Covid workplace policies. Site manager (Patrick) is an absolute treasure and worked diligently to ensure we were happy every step of the way.

Andrew and Richard were able to assist us through a difficult time in our project and provide advice to enable us to progress to an end point. They were happy to help with advice whenever called upon which assisted us in clearing council matters and other delays when no one else would step up. I engaged Housespec to carry out extensive renovations inside and outside. The trades people engaged were of a very high quality and well managed by the project manager. They took care to be clean and respectful. The quality of the work was very high and price competitive. When difficulties arose they responded quickly and effectively and remedied any defects without question. I could not recommend them any more highly. I would encourage anyone to consider them for their own building works.

I used Housespec Builders for a 3 unit development and would not hesitate using them again or recommending to friends.
Both Richard and Andrew were very helpful and professional; from willing to visit me in person to discuss the quote in the early stages, to working beyond the scope of works to navigate the many bureaucratic roadblocks that seemed to regularly appear along the way.
Richard was always quick to answer any questions I had and gave me regular progress updates throughout the build.
Overall build quality is excellent, even with a build of this size only a few very minor issues had

Highly recommended! Reliable, flexible, and very patient! We have contacted many builders for our 1st building project, but only Andrew from Housepac, provided the best prompt communication, details quotation with a fair price, and patiently answer all our questions throughout the build. Our project is definitely not a easy one for our 1st attempt, but Andrew & Richard are able to come up with solutions to minimize extra cost. Their trademen are all first class and easy to due with. I have done 3 build projects with HOUSESPEC builders, ranging from new residential unit developments and a renovation of a dental clinic (see pictures attached). I have found Richard and Andrew both to be very prompt, reliable, flexible, fair and approachable. I would not hesitate to use them again and am very happy with the final result. Building and renovating comes with many challenges and you need to be able to deal with people who are fair, reliable and honest. Both Richard and Andrew are these kinds of people. And no, I didn't get paid to do this review. It is a genuine reflection of my experience

When I was looking to build for the first time, I spoke to three building companies. However it was Andrew and Richard from Housespec that impressed me and put me at ease right from the word go. I found them to be approachable and also very patient in answering my many questions. Their quote was also competitively priced and they were fair and transparent with me throughout the build.
