I have recently had Modern Outdoor Blinds installed on our very large alfresco area with multiple openings greater than 6.5m in width which I thought wasn't possible for a long time, not only have we achieved that goal to extend the living area and block out the weather but its also given us privacy from the neighbours and improved our overall comfort and we prefer to stay home to entertain family & friends rather than going out. From start to finish the process ran smoothly and I would definitely use Modern Group again and definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to get home improvements!

Zero stars. Like many other reviews here, the creepy, scam-like quote experience left us feeling sick. The salesman kept asking personal questions and talked about random things, and would not leave our house. We kicked him out after almost 2 hours, by which time we still did not have a quote or any useful product information. They use old-school sales tactics - fake calling a Manager who offers some "wonderful", very confidential price if you sign up RIGHT NOW. Yuck. Definitely would not recommend.

No go! They will sign you up, take your deposit, Never call you after this. You need to call them. They do 0 communication, 0 follow up, leave you job hanging for 5 months. You have to ask your deposit back 7 times via phone and email to be left waiting Again!

We wanted a simple quote for plantation shutters. The salesman called my partner multiple times to ensure that both of us will be home when he comes... This is the first one of their many pushy and irritating sales techniques (ensuring you can't use the excuse "I need to check with my partner and get back to you" when they give you the quote).
The salesman arrived, and spent 3.5 HOURS at our house and would NOT leave. He then gave us a quote for ~$7000 for just TWO windows. We

Was initialy happy. install was done all good. 1 bit of flashing missing not ordered. Got told they'll come back to finish it. Nearly 6months later. Still not finished still waiting for the flashing to be installed. My rollershuters are now buckling in the wind due to that flashing not been installed. Rung them 2-3times every time there like yes we'll come out and measure get it sorted 6 months later not done nearly 2months since last phone call. LOST my respect for the company. I'm on the verge of getting them to remove my shutters and getting my money refunded.

Modern Group must be the busiest business in Perth because every time I phone whoever I need to speak to is in a meeting or on another call. Presumably, the manager Mark has been on another call since last Friday, as I was told he'd phone me back as soon as his other call was finished. Even more disappointing than the service, is the quality of the product. Mark came out a month or so ago (only after I got cranky on the phone after months of calling and not getting called back) and has offered to replace the shutters, but I have had no contact nor been provided with any information since. We had a roller shutter installed recently, after receiving a quote from a pleasant, interesting sales rep. We bought it to exclude disturbance from the early morning summer sun.
The installation went smoothly, via a pair of polite installers. There was a slight glitch after installation, in that quite a lot of light still entered the room. It was a question of the shutter frame, having a straight edge, allowing light through the adjoining vintage bricks, which did not have a straight edge. I pointed it out to the installers, who connected me to head office. Their rep, Kieran, was helpful and

Signed up for plantation shutters in mid December 2020. Waited 4 months after a check measure and consistently calling the office for an update only for the installer to turn up with 1 shutter 10mm short, 1 shutter 600mm too wide and 1 shutter broken on arrival.
6 months since signing up and it was still not been resolved (promised time from sale to install 8 to 10 weeks)
Promised the new shutters would be delivered and installed within 2 - 3 weeks. This did not happen.

We requested an in-home quote, with the aim of getting an understanding of Modern's roller shutter product options, and an indication of price. The guy who visited us was far more interested in talking about the magical discounts - that are only available if you sign up that day. When we said there'd be zero chance of that happening, he turned nasty. We found him to be overbearing, self-involved, rude and argumentative, and when our 2 yr-old started to cry at the raised voices, we kicked him out.
