We are building a pole frame home up the river and have begun our journey with sales consultant Romeo. He has gone above and beyond to help us design a wonderful customised home to suit out lifestyle. It has been a pleasant experience during our meetings working through the layouts and various options. He has thorough industry knowledge and has valuable input in building an amazing cost effective home on budget. finally, having the opportunity to walk through your floor plan in a 1:1 scale at the Plan Lab was amazing, it gives you total peace of mind in building your future home, and an opportunity

Finally a company that works around your needs and not try to push you what they have that could suit your budget. I was so impressed by their customer service, specially Romeo, that stay over an hour after office hours working on ways that he could make the design that I wanted to suit the size of my block and my budget. It’s really a breath of fresh air to find someone that has so much knowledge and effort to make our dreams come true. Would definitely recommend it.

Our journey with Rivergum Homes started with our Sales Consultant Scott Constable. He has provided genuine support to us. He patiently answered the myriad of questions my partner and I asked and supplied further information that we sought.

I designed my floor plan, RG built my beautiful - custom made home. I visited other builders, got told the house design was too big or couldn’t this / that etc wasn’t happy, until I met Jen (consultant) Jen is amazing! So friendly, bubbly and didn’t shut down any ideas. The only downside was turn over of Site Managers - Naomi (3rd Site Manager) is brilliant at her job and I could see the results, when she took over. Any questions / inquires or maintenance repairs, was attended to. I highly recommend River Gum for building homes.

Actually in the process of building my first house with rivergum & I was so over the moon about it. Unfortunately my experience so far with rivergum has been a big let down. I’ve been ignored on multiple occasions via email. Build date has been pushed back every month and not given an actual reason why or a straight answer on any dates nearly seven months after finally settlement and there not even a slab let alone a date for when I might get one.
Honestly heard so many good things about them & really sad to experience this with them now, especially considering I was hoping to build future properties

Sales consultant was great. But once you sign the contract and get handed over to their selections people and onto construction, that's where things start falling apart.
Selections team rushed us through the appointment, didn't offer upgrade options and even missed some selection items which luckily the tradies picked up on when they were doing the work and confirmed with us before any work was done. Equally terrible experience with our tiles selection at a big name tile supplier in SA. They treat you like a number and just want you in and out asap, do not care that you're spending a substantial

After the initial purchase, the consultant that we had to deal with changed a number of times and it felt like at times there was no continuity from one to another. Being new to Victoria probably added to this too.
Other than that and some delays with land titles, the process beyond that point was smooth. The Development Manager and Site Manager at Rivergum YoYo in Aurora were both really good and honest and exceptional. They kept us informed throughout the process and made sure everything was perfect. Everyone that has seen the house has commented that the design and use of space are excellent

We have just had handover of our build at Normanville. We initially had several changes of consultant due to staff turn over but once that was done we were happy with the progress. Selections was a pleasure, the site supervisor Jason was very accommodating and supportive. Issues we raised were generally fixed up. Their carpenters and tilers were awesome. The painters were less professional (busy COVID time) but Rivergum has started rectifying issues (painters called back) and many were complete at the time of handover today. Painters will be back to fix a few things up. Will update once we are
