We are thinking about moving out of our main home into our new Silkwood Homes built investment property. It's that nice! We wanted to be closer to the family but still have our own privacy and enjoy the comfort of our own space. This is my first time writing a negative review publicly. I guess it will get on your nerves too after receiving 5 delays on your build with no compensation at all!
The settlement was on 14 Jan 2021. As it is a pre-designed house and land package (and land already registered) we were expecting to receive the build to take around 6 months. However, according to the latest EOT (Extension of Time), it is now due to complete on 10 Jan 2022, provided there are no further EOTs.
It should have served as a warning to me when the contract under the special conditions was full of clauses of extension exemptions

Be weary of this builder. They will tell you a price which will entice you to sign up for preliminary work with them and once you have transferred the funds they will tell you that due to price pressures the previous price they told you about will need to increase. During my consultation with multiple other builders none of them came back to change any previously advised price so not sure if this is Silkwood’s standard practice to entice clients or not. What will end up happening is that you will lose the original deposit for the preliminary work as the revised price will not be competitive with

First time i built with these guys cause i got recommended by the real-estate agent. After living in for 9 months, concrete around the blocks starts cracking and sinking. i have rang and email so many times to get help from them, but they still not able to find someone to fix my problem. I paid extra money to have a nice EXPOSE driveway but ending up a bad looking patchy driveway with many cracks. Even though i am bot a builder myself, i definitely see better job done. I feel that they might be good at building townhouse quality home but definitely not up to market standard for prestige home. I

Silkwood Homes recently built a home for me. Overall I was satisfied with the experience. They got the job done, and I'm satisfied with it. They did a good job, and the build was completed quite quickly. Staff were always friendly to deal with, and the quality and attention to detail was pretty good. Tony (the building supervisor) was great to deal with, really down-to-earth and I appreciated working with him. Treacy (Client Liaison Manager) was really friendly and generally helpful; however, I think there is significant room for improvement when it comes to communication. Emails are sometimes
