This day was going to be a little different from the normal days in the office. Not ever day does a couple in their 80's walk into our office in Balhannah asking if we can build them a new home. Their first ever new home. During our initial consultation it was established that the client wanted a large single level home with three bedrooms with a separate study/office.

Building with Shire Homes 2yrs ago was a total nightmare. Unprofessional & unresponsive are two words I could use to describe this business, with some of the sub contractors being downright rude. During construction, the building supervisor was sacked for poor performance, the plumber’s work was sub standard & one would think that he couldn’t possibility have been qualified. The electrician was the rudest person I have ever met & the frame builder was not far behind him in personality. The painter was hopeless & as we are still touching up parts that he missed & we even had to redo parts internally

Total nightmare. Quality of trades they used left a lot to be desired. 5 years later we are still getting things repaired in a new house and huge list of things that were overlooked that were on the original plan but they did it their own way.
Got to the final build payment. He promised to fix and complete everything as per the contract. We agreed to pay him first. Huge mistake. All of a sudden one trade every month would show up. Would take forever to get anything done and it's still not completed to this day as he wouldn't get back to us over phone or email. In person he was never available

The team at Shire Homes built our beautiful home in Lobethal. The build was a wonderful experience as we were kept informed every step of the way.
