A house and land package (sometimes called a home and land package) is a bundled option to jointly purchase a new home and a block of land in the one go. At Porter Davis we work out the price of our packages by calculating the price of the land + the cost to purchase the house design + the cost of the build.

My partner and I chose to go with Porter Davis and although we haven't started building yet, the process has been a nightmare. No-one replies to us, we've waited & constantly followed up for the past 7 weeks. Even our bank is chasing our construction manager and we are simply left with no idea what's happening. We are now dreading the build process.

We decided to build with Porter Davis because their displays are stunning. We have come to realise this was the biggest mistake we could of made.
We are currently in week 21 of our build and we only just had our Frames delivered 2 weeks ago! These frames are still sitting on site awaiting a Carpenter to install them. We keep getting told specific dates that come and go and the latest date is in another 2 weeks! This will mean our Frames have sat onsite for a month before installation. It has become a complete joke and to say we are frustrated is an understatement.
In hind sight, if we knew this

We built a 50sq home in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne with Porter Davis.
This is our third build, so we know the process and we know what we’re looking at. And we’ll be the first to admit that building homes isn’t easy. We’d like to be able to tell you that building with Porter Davis was a positive experience however, the reality was it was nothing short of a nightmare. “Respect The Dream”? Yeah, no luck there! Not using Porter Davis however they were building a house 3 blocks down from mine and thought it was okay to use my electricity without MY consent and I have to pay the bill.
For the prices you charge on your homes the least you can do is provide your contractors power!
Contacted Porter Davis to let them know this is unacceptable and never got a phone call back! Goes to show how much they do not care!
Would never build with them considering the price they charge, lack of care and the fact they clearly think it is acceptable to be thieves and allow their contractors to steal other peoples power

I am building home with PD
Very poor response from every team member
Every department saying, not my job.
Able to contact building coordinator twice in 6 month.
I signed contact on 25th may 2021 with contract representative, still contract not received, no changes implemented.
Planning to drop contact and go to consumer court , as they are not listing to customer, wasting lot of precious time during building.

After deciding to build a home with PDx, I unfortunately came to the realisation that with the lack of overtime I wouldn't be getting the required finance for the project.
I requested my initial deposit from the sales rep over 3 weeks ago and STILL have not been provided with my refund after chasing it up with the accounts lady (not her fault, she needs to follow protocol).
I'm continuing to chase up MY money on a daily basis for what should be a 10 minute task.

I’m not the buyer so gave it 3 in order not to misleading others. I want to complain that Porter Davis is building next to me and using my power rather than it’s own power. I asked the contractor on site but they didn't unplug or apologize. I left both voice mail and SMS to the site supervisor. Supervisor called me back politely, but he said: sorry, but can we use another a couple of days? Well, I'm not able to be there everyday so pointless to reject. But as the owner, I'm paying for the electricity and not happy at all to lend power to you without any notice in advance or a compensation for

Our whole experience with Porter Davis has been great so far. We are currently at lockup stage and our house is looking amazing. I have to thank our Building Coordinator and Site Supervisor for this positive experience, they have both ensured that we have been looked after the whole way through our process.
We have never had a problem getting in contact or hearing back from them and they are both always more than happy to help and accommodate us.
I would 100% build with Porter Davis again not only because we love their beautiful homes, but for the great experience we've had with our assigned

The construction of my new home was a great experience. My home was completed on time and within the contracted cost. I reviewed countless designs from a variety of builders and always came back to the Porter Davis Bermuda 23. I added the Griffith facade, a rumpus room, Grand Alfresco and Boutique Stacker sliding doors to the original design and my neighbours are in awe!!!. The build quality is exceptional and I love everyday coming home to my new home! The Porter Davis support team of Emma Garrett (Building Co-ordinator) and James Welsh (Supervisor) were fantastic! And also, the Sales Consultant
