Step 1: Inspection & AnalysisFirst we need to identify through careful inspection the construction of your rug and the exact composition of the fibres.
The most common name for the fibre we find in rugs is VISCOSE, but it may be referred to by any one of the above. Because these are incredibly weak fibres, these rugs shed easily, matte easily, and get a shaggier look over time as the nap of the fibres gets more and more distorted from walking on it, cleaning it, and just simply using it.
Melbourne Rug Wash is conveniently located just north of the Melbourne CBD at 22 Edward Street Brunswick. This means we are central enough for you to drop off and pick up, with lots of parking close by. If this is not convenient, we can arrange to pick up and deliver back to you after your rug has been cleaned.

Melbourne Rug Wash have provided the worst, most disappointing level of service I have ever been subjected to, so much so that I find myself inspired to write my first, and only negative Google review.
My fool housemate spilled a large quantity of candle wax on my wool and silk rug. Bernard, phone person at MRW, organised for the carpet to be collected. When it was returned, the silk of the carpet was still crushed. I sent the carpet back again and spoke with Bernard on the telephone.
He employed a spectacular combination of rudeness and condescension as he explained that whoever had attended

Do not use this rug cleaner!!!!!!
We gave them our rug to clean, it was about 5 years old. No pets no children no visible stains no damage to the pile or edging.
The rug was returned to us covered in large orange splotches like Bolognese stains, the pile was worn away in some areas and the edging stitches were torn and damaged like a dog had gnawed on it. The tag on the back was also missing. We were so upset and contacted rug wash and sent them photos to ask what serious accident must have befallen our rug while it was in their care.

Couldn't recommend this place more! We dropped off our large polyester/wool dingy, stinky and pukey (cat puke) rug and not only did they do an amazing job, they had the most reasonable rates of any rug cleaner that I contacted. All this time I thought our rug was supposed to be grey, turns out, it's more a silver/pewter hue and it's actually soft! I hope to keep it clean as long as possible but if we have to get it cleaned again, we're definitely coming back here!
