Mr Sandman Floors is a professional floor sanding and finishing business providing flooring solutions for the domestic residential and commercial market. The business commenced in 1999 and is owner operated - having provided a service to hundreds of clients across Australia; in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.

Floors are a major part of your home and making the right decision on floor coverings will not only add appeal and value to your property but may also save you money in both the short and long term. Polished timber floors are very practical and have a natural beauty and warmth.
Solvent borne polyurethane finishes (single pack and two pack) were developed during the 1950's and 1960's. They provide a hard finish, which offers good abrasion resistance. These are an older style finish which do not offer the flatter, more modern look offered by waterborne finishes. Solvent borne finishes come in a variety of sheens, including satin, semi-gloss and gloss.
If a room is currently carpeted, the carpet needs to be removed along with the carpet strips and underlay. Start by removing the carpet. Then pull up the underlay and carpet strip. Floors which have a vinyl floor covering (Linoleum) may be more challenging. Depending on the amount of glue used, the lino can be difficult to remove.

Our stairs are PNG Rosewood inlaid with Victorian Ash. The stairs were stained, discoloured and worn over about the last 10 years to a point where the true timber colours were no longer discernible. It soon became evident that Mark has many, many years of experience in this specialised skill and this coupled with Mark's fastidious attention to detail shone through in the finished job. We were astounded with the finished results and saw timber colours from blonde to red that we had never seen before. We are more than satisfied with the final result and cannot praise and recommend Mark highly enough

Highly recommended, Mr Sandman Floors is a great local company whom restored our 70 year old hardwood floors back to new condition! No faults whatsoever. Mark came out and thoroughly explained what needed to be done and what to expect. He answered all our questions and communicated with us throughout the repair process, which was much appreciated. Mark ripped up old lino, polished the hardwood underneath and added matching timber quadding around the skirting, completely transforming our old post war home. Mark even moved up our repair date so we could get it done faster. We are over the moon with

Mark worked miracles on taking the timber floors in our coworking space from a mess of carpet glue and paint splotches to a beautiful finish that has opened up the space and made a huge difference to the presentation of the office. He went out of his way to keep disruption to a minimum. Couldn't be happier with the result and professionalism.
