We have a terrible experience with element 5 building our apartments in Melbourne. They have clearly cut corners from the beginning and the list of defects, which are still ongoing are beyond belief. It is so disappointing to pay so much for such poor work. I would give a zero if it was available.

Beware. Money grabbers. Cowardly liars.
Absolutely woeful, lies, half truths and avoidance await you. Cheap contractors and shoddy workmanship. No concept of time, and communication is next to none. If they aren’t up in front of Vcat yet they will be soon. Get out whilst you still can. We have a new luxury place. It came 2 years late, badly presented with a bad attitude to boot. I can’t explain the level of disappointment that we feel. Once you have paid your money your phone calls and emails about unfinished and or sub standard work will go unanswered. Unclean. Leaking basements on completion

Ignore all the negative feedback you hear. E5 is an excellent builder that’s reputable, professional & deliver on time, also one of the safest builders I’ve personally worked for.

Fantastic Company! Ignore most of the negative feedback on here as it is coming from a union who have a financial agenda. Element Five are a very well known, reputable builder and their vast portfolio speaks for itself

Did not fix issues reported during a pre-settlement inspection, despite having 3 months to do so. Almost 7 months later and there are still defects being worked on. I should clarify, I say "being worked on" but reality is that it is about 1-2 weeks before i can force a response from them and then another few months before anything is ever arranged. There's about 1-2 weeks of action, then back to the silence and inaction again.
If you see Element 5's name on anything, I would stay away. Even if I paid $100,000 less, it would still be too much for having to deal with them.

I wasn't surprised to see they already have such low ratings but I wanted to put in my 2 cents in the hope that they get fewer contracts and perhaps even go out of business one day. They illegally start work before 7. For anyone who wants to make a complaint, make sure you have photographs or videos with evidence. Also a complete disregard for people living next to their sites. Loud music all the time. Really poor traffic regulation.
