Ben has always been committed to providing the best quality finish to every job at an affordable price. As a business, we prefer to deal with you the customer to ensure there is a clear understanding of the processes involved. This helps to create good working relationship, and one we hope will last beyond the completion of your floor.
3 The large sanding machine cannot reach close to the skirting boards therefore this area is sanded by a smaller "edging" machine. We then sand again with a medium grade paper, following which the whole floor surface is vacuumed and the nail holes filled with a wood filler, colour matched to your particular wood species.
Normally sanding & finishing is a 2/3 day process, but allow four in case the finish isn't dry from one day to the next, depending upon weather conditions. Yes, however access to the floors will be restricted because of the need for a certain amount of drying time each day. A coat of oil or polyurethane takes 8-12 hours to dry - a coat of water base poly takes 4-6 hours to dry.

Ben was amazing from when we first met, turning up on the weekend to meet us, to constantly keeping us informed of the progress including photos to his brilliant after polishing service with advice. Our floors were 20 years old with a terrible ghosting problem from when the house was built. We never thought the result would be this good, the floors… are back to new and no dust or mess. My big fear was I would be cleaning for days but nothing, everything was perfect. We are so impressed with Ben he is coming back in the new year to redo our deck. And of course the price, excellent!
