We recently built our new double storey home which faces north. The master bedroom is located upstairs at the front of the building and there are 6 (awning) windows, double balcony doors with sidelights. What this means for us is that the master bedroom becomes unbearably warm even when the outside temperature is in the low 20s. This also contributes to a sizeable electricity bill because the air-conditioning system is having to work harder than it should if the room was better insulated. The situation is made worse by the wind and traffic noise - all of which makes for some uncomfortable and sleepless

We have just had our Thermawood windows installed by Joel and his Melbourne team and are so impressed! The difference to the sound level is amazing. We live on a busy road (300 big trucks a day!!) and the sound reduction is really tangible. While super loud sounds are significantly reduced we also find the ambient hum of the city is almost entirely gone. Further, the team on site were friendly, respectful and really well informed. We will definitely be doing the rest of our road facing windows with Thermawood.

I highly recommend Thermawood. The whole experience from quotation to installation was faultless. We had 10 windows replaced with double glazed units and immediately noticed an improvement in warmth and a reduction in noise. The windows look great and the very friendly and able installers also adjusted them so that they open and close without sticking. I wish all companies were this easy to deal with. Thanks guys!
