We had these guys out to replace a washer/valve in a basic bathroom mixing tap.He told us we needed to replace the whole tap as they didn't make the valve anymore. He wouldn't show is the tap (or even a picture) either. Then proceeded to tell us the taps wouldn't match so we would have to replace both for 700+ dollars. In the end I just went to Bunnings, the part was easy to find and only cost $16, installed and fixed it myself in 15 min.

We used Blackjade Plumbing for a call out to our rental property as the tenants had advised of a water leak. Blackjades plumber was on time and very easy to deal with as they where more then happy to deal directly with the tenants. Suggest you avoid this company. Contacted them to arrange a quote for a repair for a pipe (see photo). I sent the photos and was told someone would come out to give a quote and the call out free was $65 which would be waived if we went ahead with the job. We were quoted $550 for the job! We didn’t go ahead but paid the $65. When I called later in the day to ask how the quote could be so much I was informed that the quotes are carefully worked out by an accountant and there is basically a schedule of fees. So I feel we could have been told the cost over the phone and saved our money and their
