McKay Drilling is a WA based drilling company specialising in all areas of Reverse Circulation, Hydro and Diamond Drilling. We exist to deliver high-end drilling services to the exploration and mining industries. Established in 1990, McKay Drilling has extensive regional experience and has operated in most states and territories throughout Australia, as well as extending operations internationally to South America.
McKay Drilling ensures that the health and safety of its employees is at the forefront of its business activities. The vision of Zero Harm to people, the environment and assets is our goal. The strategy to achieve this involves using the McKay Drilling Environmental, Health and Safety Management System and other processes across all of our fleet and workforce.
The Reverse Circulation rig fleet consists of late model, high capacity Schramm T685 drill rigs fully compliant to Australian standards. The rigs and support equipment are designed and maintained for the toughest and most remote drilling projects. Both all-wheel drive truck and track mounted units are available.
The Reverse Circulation drill rig fleet is also capable of providing accurate, safe and productive in pit Grade Control Drilling services to the mining industry. Our Reverse Circulation fleet is equipped with high capacity on board 1350cfm / 500psi air compressors. On board rod handling capacity options include KL rod handler pick from bin or 8 rod in mast carousels.

I think its incredible that you can still reach steve mckay by phone directly. How often does one have bad experiences with CS and the owner of the business never gets to hear of how poorly their staff treats customers. The unfavorable feedback is filtered through CS, their managers and the manager of the manager. I think its incredible that you Steve McKay make yourself available for your customers, past or present. I never had but the best most honest service from you and I'm very grateful for that. Pump was beginning to give us trouble. Tech came out .. surveyed the situation and we decided to replace the pump.
The access to the pump was a pain to get to. The tech was able to manuver his rig right to the location.
Come to find out pump had been working for twenty(20) years. Was drawing excess amps, 16 when should have only been drawing 10.5.... pump was on the way out.
Check valve at the tank was also leaking ..
BOTTOM LINE .. NEW PUMP, Down Tube, other stuff .. Working like a champ.
