My father Jim Gamble, worked for Crandons Hardware in Woodlark Street for many years, and amongst his duties there he became a dab hand at key cutting and also repairing locks etc. In 1953 he decided to start out in his own business as a Locksmith & Gunsmith, (Dad was an armourer during the war years in the 2/17th Battalion).

Waited all afternoon , had organised 2 jobs as a friend needed work as well, recieved a call strongly apologising for no show, reason caught up in emergencies.
Promised to rectify asap and organised to complete jobs post haste.so will withhold comments to see how Rob fixes the unsatisfactory start. Will offer outcome reply.

Terrible service and poor quality key cutting. Went in with 2 keys they had incorrectly cut the last time, one I had recut elsewhere at my own expense so that it worked. Explained situation and 2 new keys were cut, so far no problem. I then ask for the key I had recut back as I know it works and I require 2 working keys at minimum. Was refused and told the boss has a policy that the keys have to be thrown out. I argued that I previously left without working keys and just didn't want to be left in the same position of not having the multiple working keys I needed. I was told no and asked to speak
