Burglar Resistant Glass is Laminated Glass with a tougher inner layer to prevent access using bricks, sledge hammers and axes but retaining clear glass qualities. A pattern is embossed into the glass at the semi molten stage. One side remains smooth and a square wire mesh can also be added at this time.

Outstanding service. We have an old home with old windows and had a window blow out on Saturday night in the storm. We contacted Hartley Glass, the gentleman who phoned us back was cheerful and helpful. The Glazier who attended, I believe was Ben, was outstanding. I felt so awful for him being out in the storm but nothing was too much trouble. Glass was replaced within 30 minutes and he even thanked my Husband for cleaning up all the glass before he got here. We sent him on his way with a warm cup of coffee. I thought it was well priced for Saturday night, and we are very grateful. Thank you again

So it all started when my 4 year old threw a golf ball through his bedroom window and stated he was
"trying to make the house bigger"
Which I found funny and so did the people at Hartleys when I rang them.
Luckily they sent someone the same day and I was surprised how the guy replacing the glass didn't damage my 100+ year old window frames and made it look original when the job was done.
Very happy with the price and also how quickly the job was completed.

Do not use Hartley Glass if you value your sanity!
What I was informed was going to take six weeks to replace took ...
wait for it .... seven months!!!
Even when they finally got around to installing the glass, they apparently did not have the foresight, experience or common sense to have additional flashing/silicone to hand. This added another two and half weeks - and I'm being optimistic as I write this because that's the promise, it hasn't actually happened to date.
I wrote to management re my dissatisfaction: he could not even be bothered to acknowledge receipt of the correspondence

I used Hartley Glass for a glass replacement in a rental property I manage. The team at Hartley Glass were very professional and prompt with my quote (same day service). The trade guys organised an appropriate time for me to meet them at the property. Jordan the young lad that attended the property was polite, efficient, quick and clean. Even though he was quick the job was well done and he was professionally presented. I will definitely use them again.
