We are a team of passionate horticulturists and designers that started tending to plants and outdoor spaces as Greater Brisbane Gardens in 2010. Although our gardening roots run much deeper than this. We love every aspect of designing, maintaining and building outdoor spaces. We asked Alister in our consultation for a simple front yard, mostly turf. Thankfully he ignored us and came up with a low maintenance but beautiful space that has transformed our house and given us something beyond our wildest dreams. I am happy to recommend the work of Alister and his team. I was so pleased with the total front garden makeover he did at my Fairfield house recently (design, garden beds, edging, paving, turf and planting) that I just got him back to do the back yard as well. He is great at understanding requirements and providing advice when completing design, the work is of a high quality, and the site is left clean and tidy when complete. Just had our front garden transformed. It was full of Singapore Daisy and other noxious weeds that had gone out of control and beyond our time and energy to remove. Alister and his team from Greater Brisbane Gardens removed all of the weed and dead plants, chopped out a very old non-native, applied high quality compost and mulch, then planted a beautiful array of natives of all varieties. And no herbicides were used, as this business works under organic horticultural principles, which was exactly what we wanted. Al is exceptionally hard working and creative, also highly knowledgeable about making gardens beautiful and healthy. He and the crew did a great job of the garden clean up, and then mulched / added some fab new native plants in strategic ways. Highly recommended. 6 stars out of 5.
