Misleading advertised warranty.
Our SecureView security door was great for about 3 years until the lock mechanism started playing up. After locking the door, it wouldn't let us unlock it. I'd say its currently happening about 40% of the time. Sometimes when you leave it alone for a half hour or so (went for a walk), I'd come back and it's unlocked. It's bizarre and only started happening after about 3 years of perfect functionality.
They advertise "We're so confident in our product, our customers receive an 11 year warranty. Enjoy the ultimate peace of mind with SecureView". Called Alucom thinking

Agreed with the good price I was given , I had called and emailed to ask for a start date since it had taken about two weeks before I decided to call Alucom. I was greeted politely and promised a call back that day which never happened I then ask why and was told he could not find the paper work , In my opinion and experience as a business owner that excuse is utterly disgusting , glad I was refunded ... well again still waiting on my receipt !

Terrible after supply customer service. We purchased roller shutters from this company as they were cheaper than others we had installed a few years earlier with a competitor. One of these ones had problems within a couple of months of installation. I rang and rang Alucom (about 6 times), was always told the manager wasn’t there but would call me back. They NEVER called back. We’ve had nothing but trouble with the shutters they installed. The more expensive ones from another company have been fine. Couldn’t recommend Alucom after this abysmal service.

I have had all my door screens replaced now. Michael was super helpful. Went above and beyond. He made a new booking to schedule additional staff to remove and reinstall some awning hoods. Even removing a pesky latch that was preventing the sliding door from opening all the way. Then coming back because he wasn't happy with the finished look to install some additional strip. Also attending to the last one (door screen) I had installed that wasn't quite latching. Couldn't be happier. Julie

After my order being misplaced, two of my flyscreens were wrong the first time and had to be remade. The second time the installer cut the frame to fit around the window winder incorrectly leaving a big gap. After calling and emailing to complain, I got zero response. Incompetent and terrible service!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! We have used Alucom a few times over the last 5 years. We have had "Secureview" installed to all our windows, Blockout Roman Blinds on the bedroom windows and more recently vertical blinds on our living room windows. On each occasion the office staff were friendly and easy to deal with kept us informed throughout the ordering process. The fitters that installed were polite and punctual and the final product was of a high quality. An all round enjoyable experience.
