Yes in any instance where there will be structural alterations or changes to the existing footprint or floor plan approval from local council or certifying authority will be required. If you are planning to refurbish your home without making changes to the existing floor plan then approval and plans generally will not be required.

The reason we decided to have Chris build our house was his good manners, professionalism and planning abilities. From the onset we were impressed with Chris’s attitude towards us alway being informative and understanding of our needs. His building skills are excellent and managed the tradies very well. We‘ve both read the previous reviews written for Chris and Sam and we both agree with all which has been said. The words used to describe Chris were professional and punctual but the one word that we can’t stress enough about this lovely man and his lovely sidekick Sam, is that he is honest.
We have a large job to be done In renovating the front and back of the exterior of our house and there is no doubt we will be getting Chris and Sam back.
We would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Chris saved our lives by completing our build after our first builder went bankrupt half way through the project last year. He is super organised, and his professionalism and perfectionism, as well as his fantastic team of tradies have done nothing but impeccable job with our project.
He has always handled our requests, changes in requirements and challenges with a “can do” / attitude also, and is always so nice and calm in his demeanour.
