Glen is QBCC licensed as a designer and builder (Licence No 12080: Building Design - Open and Builder - Open). Kieron Place commenced building design in 1992 and is QBCC licensed (Licence No 1045510 - Building Design - Medium Rise).

Place Designs provides design and drafting services across all types and styles of projects - whether it be a new home design, a renovation, commercial project or industrial building. We provide climate responsive designs to improve the comfort of the home by moderating the external climate through good room planning, orientation and material choices.
Place Designs has been responsible for the design of well over 1000 houses and homes expressing a wide variety of character building styles and budgets. We work with you to understand your needs and wants for establishing a concept design and presenting intent (working) drawings. We are a design and drafting business that offers our clients full service from concept through design to contract administration.
Free 30-minute initial consultation at our office to discuss your proposed project and costs. There is no simple answer to costs, as this will depend on a number of factors including: the scale of your project, the site, wind classification, and design constraints set by councils. As a guide, our fees can be based on percentage of construction cost or estimated hours.

I think Glen and his team are exceptional building designers. If you are serious about getting a good design with local experience and is easy to work with then speak to Glen Place at Place Designs. I have worked with Glen for a number of years in my capacity as a structural engineer. Glen's drawings are easy to read and easy to understand. I think Glen is one of the best designers in Mackay area.
