Our story begins with Ashley Olsson. After finishing his Fitter and Machinist apprenticeship in 1985, 21 year-old Ashley assisted in the production, machinery design, fabrication, installation and maintenance for 4 factories in 3 states for "Olsson Salt" which was started by his grandfather. Two years later, Ashley changed direction to help his family manage their farm in Goulburn.

Bought a PG900 series crush in 2017. Have had trouble with cattle being able to pull their head back out of the head bale right from the start. I was initially fobbed off and told the head size of an animal compared to it's neck should compensate for the play in the linkages. More recently I was told there is an upgrade available soon which can be retrofitted to fix the problem at some cost. Not confident they have a solution as still waiting for the paper work for that.

Done By Troy Brabant Contract Fencing Another feral stopper installed at Yetman this week. 1.65m Clipex Australia exclusion fence using all large Beefy posts. Was a very challenging job due to the dry and… rocky ground conditions with 90% of the posts needing a pilot hole to be pre drilled with the rotary hammer!!!!
Big shout out to Benjamin Morris and Elijah Wynter-kenny, was a hard and hot slog but came through it well.
A week around Inverell next week and then off to Goondiwindi to start 15km of exclusion fence.

Clipex® are great to deal with! Love what they have available in the market and love all of their products. I would recommend getting to the next demo day or field day and seeing for yourself what a fabulous product they have. It is innovative, well built and for a reasonable price considering the amount of features you receive with something such as a Clipex® Sheep Handler.

Clipex is a family company based on strong christen values. Despite Clipex being an Australian company, and me farming in New Zealand using their products, I have found that when I have made direct contact with them, they have provided a support service via email,and phone, that met my requirements. My main point of contact has been Ashley Olsson who has been very obliging in providing the service I have required, and resolving any issues I have raised.
