We paid extra for a shipping container to avoid our possessions being loaded and reloaded during inter state move. This was a waste of money as our belongings were still unloaded and reloaded during the journey and our fridge and new barbecue were badly damaged along with several other items arriving with scratches, even the enamel lid of washing machine has a large chip. This would have needed quite a bump to achieve.
The manager in Cairns doesn’t care and just said we should have taken out insurance. Insurance should be for if the truck has an accident or fire. It should not be required to

Our move with A and R was seamless from beginning to end. Roxy in the office was always on hand to answer all our questions and with a complicated move with some things going to store and a piano we were impressed that everything got to where it was meant to go and was packed perfectly. Just wanted to thank George and Josh for their down to earth friendly professional attitude. We had some large heavy furniture and they carefully manoeuvred each item so as not to damage either the walls of the house or the furniture. They assessed and wrapped each item correctly for storage. We were very happy with their pre-planning on how to efficiently move everything and their inventory of items. Also thank Troy for communication regarding pick up schedule. Would highly recommend professional and friendly and took the stress out of what can be a very stressful time.

The movers were great. But there was poor communication, lack of information, I told them it was a first time using a removalist and no guidance was given during the process. No timeframe or anything. I was told during the quotation that it will take only 3/4 days to move from Cairns to Brisbane, and after my furniture was taken they told me my delivery date was 2 weeks after. So not 3/4 days anymore. We had already traveled to Brisbane with my one year old and had no furniture, we had to spend more money on hotel, which we had planned for a few nights but not two weeks.
