At The Wood Shop
Since 2001, At The Wood Shop has been hand-crafting timber into unique pieces of heirloom furniture. In our Ulmarra joinery, on the North Coast of NSW, we mill timber and salvaged old logs and burls of Australian native and non-native hardwoods and softwoods. We season wood on-site and when they are ready, we craft one-off piece table tops, bartops and other items, as well as fine joinery and wood turning timbers.

We cater to the person or business, seeking heirloom furniture, constructed with flair and structural integrity, All are hand-crafted from our large range of timbers in stock. Custom designs and commissions play a big role At The Wood Shop, so drop in to our showroom in Ulmarra, or contact us to discuss the furniture shaped hole in your life.

When you need statement pieces for your business - such as a Boardroom Table, unique Doorway or Reception Desk - call the guys At The Wood Shop. We specialise in making something truly memorable and unique for your office, shop or restaurant.
Services
We make beautiful, one-off pieces of timber furniture made from our selection of seasoned slabs in site. In our Timber Sales room, on-site here in Ulmarra, you will find a wide selection of softwood and hardwood, native and non-native timber to choose from. Each piece has been milled locally, air-dried on-site and then kiln-dried - each timber slab is years in the making.
We work with Architects, Interior Designers, Builders and Cabinetmakers to deliver a unique timber touch to any fit-out or building project. When you need statement pieces for your business - such as a Boardroom Table, unique Doors for a spectacular entrance or a truly welcoming Reception Desk - call us At the Wood Shop.
At our Ulmarra Joinery, we have sustainably sourced, milled and season slabs and joinery stock for sale. The slabs we currently have available are the result of years of careful preparation. And every week we have new pieces finishing their prep journey and finally ready for sale.

Long wait to get a piece we have paid in advance. Took us two months of going to the shop and asking for the piece we had bought to be finalised. They would say the machine wasn’t working or that they had forgotten to do it. We ended up getting it without they finishing what it was agreed. Nice shop, but service and organising should improve!
