My qualification is Bachelor of Architecture from Melbourne University, and member of the Institute of Architects. A particular involvement and expertise is with inner suburban houses and extensions. Much of it in strictly controlled Heritage areas, where I have very extensive experience in extracting Planning Permits from extremely difficult Municipal Town Planning Departments.
These projects also frequent fielding the most astonishing illogical, nasty, envious and self-important objections from neighbours, which are permitted in these areas. In fact I am publishing a book about them, with cartoons. I have a lot of experience in dealing with VCAT appeals and hearings. My designs are influenced by my background.
My father was a well-known sculptor, as well as having been an architect in Budapest where we come from, and my brother and daughter are sculptors, so the gene is there and I think my designs reflect that. No two designs are the same. I really enjoy the design process with frequent client meetings to provide a practical and imaginative outcome, and colours.
