Founded in 1884, the practice has contributed from the early days of Queensland's capital city, Brisbane and to the contemporary architectural development across Australia. It has survived and thrived due to the commitment and talents of its past and present staff and has now worked across the Pacific and Asia.
We're a collective of creatives, designers, project managers, strategists and technologists. By leveraging a collaborative process with clients and consultants-as well as within the office-we foster an environment and design approach that invites ideas to flourish. Through internal comprehensive design and sustainability reviews, we cultivate fresh thought and firm-wide ownership of our work.
The success of all our projects is founded in an evidence-based approach to planning. Our master planning projects draw upon our expertise in landscape architecture and the built environment whilst bringing together the community stakeholders in a design-thinking framework. Wilson Architects has extensive experience in master planning and whole-campus design and have designed over 50 education and public master plans.
The incorporation of art as either a physical or digital immersive and interactive installations is driven by the "moments" of engagement between people and an organisation's goals, and the emotions and memories that these moments create. The process of working with an artist creates a new opportunity to consider the relationship of architecture to the art which in turn enriches the experience and the occupation of space.
