AABP P/L offer an expedient commercial building permit service for our commercial and shopfitting clients. National shopfitting clients can benefit from our registration in numerous States and Territories along with New Zealand. Our projects range from simple kiosk installations within shopping centers through to major commercial / industrial projects in excess of $12M.
AABP utilise a 'documentation checklist' which allows our clients to provide all the necessary documentation, for a comprehensive review, therefore allowing the building permit to be issued as soon as practicably possible, so the works can start on site. AABP appreciate that our domestic builders need a building permit service that process applications in an expedient manner.
As professional building surveyors we want your project to proceed with as few issues as possible, however should a client might feel that a complaint is warranted, then we have a formal complaints procedure in place. Where our role requires us to undertake building regulatory and statutory enforcement actions, then these are usually not grounds for a complaint and may need to be dealt with via another process, such as the Building Appeals Board.

I can categorically confirm that these negative reviews for AABP are an accurate representation of the experience we endured with them. In all my business years and dealings, I have NEVER come across a more dishonest, deceitful and unhelpful operation than that of Steve Maloney and 'staff'. We too were threatened with 'pushing your job to the bottom of the draw' for daring to question their tactics of unreasonable requests for changes that simply WERE NOT REQUIRED. The delays that ensued as a result, cost us enormously both in time and money. And for the record, I am NOT part of a smear campaign

Horrific and costly experience which we are still enduring. We engaged with this surveyor in 2015 and to date our approval is still pending. They are unresponsive and unhelpful. Constantly finding faults and nitpicking at things. Although we have complied with and accommodated with every single tiny and ludicrous requests of change, this company still finds other things to fault. We started using this 'surveyor company' since 2015 and approval is still pending!! All our reviews are NOT a part of a smear campaign to be negative about them. IT IS THE TRUTH! Looking for an unresponsive, costly, unhelpful and delay inducing surveyor? Use these guys then. I can honestly say that through my entire lengthy renovation I had only one sickening, sleep depriving, horrible experience and it was the unwillingness of the surveyor at AABP to provide any advice, guidance, assistance or help of any kind with the required protection works. This caused a 6 month complete freeze to the project while I exhausted every avenue to please AABP with tens of thousands of dollars spent to satisfy him with zero guidance and zero success. In the end, after balling my eyes out

DANGER - Potential EXTORTION AHEAD by AABP
We engaged Mr Maloney of All Australian Building Permits and were shocked to be hit with invoices and charges for works (like reading the plans) which were not additional charges being part of the engagement. When we disputed the invoices, he halted our project totally and promised to leave the project on hold indefinitely.
STAY AWAY! We are fighting to have him de registered by the VBA.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. i had been in contact with Kathy Maloney
Financial and Administrative Manager. I asked a small question before i could pay them fee to proceed with work but i got an reply saying i have to pay fee before she can answer my question. and once you pay the fee later you ll be dealing with refund policies and waste your own time. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get their work done from this company. Time wasters

Was promised the world and all I got was all these hidden costs. Costs to read emails. Cost to look at drawings. Cost after costs.
Permit fee was 4K and this was to include reviewing all documents to issue a permit.
All I got was fees, on top of fees. And the 4K just blow right out.
When I questioned all this hidden fees I was threatened and over charged.
This company uses the system to hold up my project and hold it as ransom for extras and unknown-hidden fees.

We had Steve and his team carry out a building permit for our load bearing wall removal, the job wasn't extensive, we didn't run into any issues thus far, we were hesitant at first going with Steve however our builder assured us with confidence that Steve could do the job, our builder also mentioned If you are doing the wrong thing or have carried out unlawful building practices you will be caught out and it will be an expensive experience, luckily as mentioned our job was small and we didn't touch any form of the structure and left it to the professionals, Steve went above and beyond chasing up

I nearly hired this company. After doing some research, I discovered this company has been taken to the VBA several times for misconduct. When I asked Steve and his team about this and the very bad reviews he has recieved, he and some of his staff became very aggressive. I really dodged a bullet with this one. People do your research...CM Oh and P.S Going by the owners robotic, copy and paste responses here, its obvious these bad reviews and all these unhappy people have hit a nerve.

Myself and my partner hired this company for an extension to our home. After an agreed price I was hit with costs for them to look at drawings read emails and answer phone calls that were hugely inflated. Our agreed quote to obtain a permit was just under 5k and now I have been billed for 18k. And they will not respond to my emails not proceed with my works. Will not do inspections delaying my project. It’s now 6 months and it’s costing us a fortune in holding costs and losing money thus our house has a massive hole in it. We can’t sell it or anything. This company and its directors should

Got charged about 2000 dollars for then to come review the site, at which point we agreed to move forward and use their drafter. Then when we required an email from them, they refused to continue the job discussed. So we are out about 5k. Extremely rude. Disgrace, worst people to do business with in my opinion.
