Services
Eric's European Grandfather migrated to Australia from Europe as a skilled worker and has been the owner operator of his tree works company for more than 40 years. Eric's two Uncles and Father all continue to work in arboriculture between Sydney and Brisbane operating their own business. As a teenager Eric began working for his Grandfather during school holidays.
At Chip Off The Old Block all work performed whether it is tree lopping, tree cutting or stump grinding we take the time and care to make sure any and all buildings, homes, fences and people are left exactly the same way as we found them. Tree removal can be a confusing and sometimes daunting thing for you, your family and also the neighbours surrounding your home or business.
Complete removal of a tree involves the process of stump grinding. Trees often have very intricate structural root systems that can cause major damage to underground services and building infrastructure. Chip Off The Old Block has a large variety sized stump grinders to cater for any job from a carry-on stump grinding machines to a large truck- mounted machines strong enough to take on very large old hard tree stumps.

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING. I couldn't be happier. Eric came the same day I called to provide a quote which was very well priced, and I locked him in right away. His crew turned up about 30min early on the day (calling first to make sure that was okay), and they did an EXCEPTIONAL job... they were great, and my son and I watched them work their magic. Nothing was too much trouble, and they cleaned up after they were done.

I used this company to remove a tree and stump that had fairly difficult access.
They did a great job and I got them back to do some pruning on the other side of the property.
There was some confusion over exactly what was to be pruned but when I phoned Eric to discuss the issues on the job he was quick to react and come to a agreeable conclusion.
After service care is very important and I am happy with the final outcome.
I will recommend this company in the future.

Critical: Responsiveness
A sub-contract team was sent. Left much debris behind and caused damage to our driveway, clothesline, irrigation system and shed walls and roof. Despite assurances by them they would address the damage, and multiple attempts by us to contact them, the owner has not responded back for 5 weeks.

Brilliant, guys were polite and extremely efficient. Did a great job with ease, didn’t damage anything on site and when finished, they cleaned up everything and took all tree waste away with their chipping machine. The price was very reasonable and I will be using them in the future when my trees need trimming. 10/10 would highly recommend using this company!

Wow these guys worked all day and really went the extra mile. I was impressed with the way they worked and completed the job. Everything was tidy cleaned up, and looked outstanding. I called Eric last week to organise a quote to remove some problem trees at my mums place in Wynnum. He was friendly and punctual, provided a very competitive quote and did a fantastic job! The boys took lots of care working around my mums established gardens and cleaned up really well after they were finished. Highly recommend these guys 👍🏻👍🏻

Got the team around today and they got more done than the wife and i expected. Left our house very tidy (as tidy as you can with heavy machinery) Very neat work in the lopping and stump grinding highly recommend will get them back and share the business around with friends.
