Services
An engine immobiliser is a device that will prevent the vehicle from starting. All Cobra vehicle alarms incorporate an immobiliser system. There are also standalone vehicle immobilisers that just prevent the vehicle from starting only. Essentially all immobilisers work the same way and can either immobilise one, two or three separate points in the vehicle.
There are number of different vehicles' makes and models. There is different technology in the wiring of the vehicles such as CANBUS in many of the newer vehicles especially European. We have one of the largest data bank to accommodate these vehicles. We have "upgrade alarms" that are interfaced with the vehicles ECU (computer).
The sensor protects the inside of the vehicles cabin area by sending high frequency "sound" waves and these are measured by the receiver. Any intrusion in this space will trigger the alarm. There are two sensors situated on each side of the windscreen. These are very tiny as small as 6mm. The ULTRASONIC movement sensor is designed to detect any movement in it's field path confined to the cabin area of a motor car or van.
Type (1) Autopage -Cobra "smart-tracker" basic will send you and two others an SMS to alert you that your vehicle alarm has been activated. If you are in a shopping centre, movies, car left at the station or on the beach and you are out of ear shot you will know if something is going on. Type (2) will send an SMS but you can also track the vehicle if stolen and locate it from your "smart" phone.
I wish to express my thanks and recommend Cobra Car Alarms to as many people as I can. We are a plumbing company in Manly and three weeks ago while I was doing a job someone broke into my Toyota Hi-luxury and stole my factory fitted navigation and sound system.
