We were very pleased with Dawson and the service they gave us. We were downsizing, so had heaps of things to fit into a smaller house and needed one truck and a container. They packed our things and unloaded as agreed. They also helped us reassemble the bed, which was a great help! A few weeks afterwards someone came to collect all the boxes and paper, which was very helpful. We feel we definitely went with the right company.

We had Dawsons move us from Victoria to NSW during the move containers went missing. After 6 months of phone calls to the Melbourne office we are still at a lost to know what has happened to the containers, between calls promising to get back to you, (never happens) blaming subcontractors. We are extremely disappointed with after sale service. The only reason for 2 stars the Guys that picked up were good. Damage missing containers we could never recommend them. We have moved a number of times never have had these problems with other removalist.

The uplift was great and so was the communication until all my furniture arrived damaged at the other end. I took out full insurance on my furniture and a claim was raised on the 27 Oct. I am still waiting for a response from Dawsons and my furniture is still broken. The lack of care was heartbreaking and the lack of response or effort from dawsons is negligent. Be warned, if something goes wrong they will be no help.

Dawson did the Melbourne end of an interstate transfer -- a shipping-container's worth of furniture and possessions packed into more than 120 boxes heading for two addresses. A crazy amount of stuff. The three boys assigned to unload everything were outstanding. They were good natured, fast, efficient, courteous and professional. They got the job done exactly as expected. Thank you fellas for a job well done! You've made Dawson my family's go-to removalist of choice in the future.

Today the guys from Dawson Storage and Removals delivered all our belongings which have been stored for 6 months. When they arrived we had some final work being done and the house was not ideal to receive “goods”. I showed Phil where to leave the load of stuff that he was lugging, only to find our carpenter working in that spot. I was stressed and felt bad for Phil, because he had to move it somewhere else. I apologized to him, he could see I was stressing, his response was absolutely wonderful, he said “ it’s alright love, this is me job, I can more it as many times as you want me too”

We recently used Dawson removalists to move from Melbourne to Wodonga. Travis & Will were just sensational. The hardest working guys we have seen in a long time! We had a lot of very heavy furniture and it was all delivered & carried inside without issue. Super friendly and polite. As it was a long haul, they arrived at our new place early next morning - super impressed!! We can't recommend these guys highly enough. Will definitely recommend them to everyone! I was quoted $3234 for a removal from Canberra to Melbourne. Packing of fragile items was quoted at an extra $209. The removalists arrived unaware they were supposed to pack them. They then didn't have enough time to do it so decided to start the following day. When it came time to pay i was charged $550 for the pack that I was quoted $209 for.
Uplift was July 1. Delivery was not until August 10.
I called to have the boxes collected a couple of days after delivery and was told I would be called back when someone was in the area. I waited a week and called a second time to be told the same thing

Our first time ever moving interstate, Chris from Canberra was very helpful and gave us a very competitive quote. I was worried when he went on leave a day before we moved, but the guys at the office were super helpful. Jim and the boys came on time to load all our furniture and pack fragile items, they were well organised, professional and did a great job. The boys who came to unload our stuff in Perth were a great team who did a brilliant job. All our possessions were well packed and intact … the only thing they need to improve on is transit times, took 3 weeks for furniture to be delivered
