Since the early 1990s Contour Builders have been involved in the residential building industry in Perth. Managing Director Steven Fisher commenced his career as a plumber in 1978 and at the time had an interest in renovating houses - long before it became trendy (and the subject of reality television!).

Nestled in a tree lined, weatherboard heritage precinct this home's deceptively simple faade blends seamlessly with the other weatherboard cottages in the neighbourhood. Our designers created a modern, spacious family home at the same time as incorporating council design requirements of a weatherboard exterior.

The client's brief was for a family home which could maximise the views of the Canning River through to Mount Henry. With a frontage of only 10.5m our designers were presented with the challenge of creating a stylish family home. The result - a grand, contemporary home with sumptuous living areas and a stunning first floor lap pool.

The near river location of this house was perfect for this ex-olympic kayaker and his family, only with a growing family they were fast running out of room in their 1970's 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. The client's brief was for a contemporary design incorporating a double garage, large family area and a parent's retreat.
