Dean has been in the tree industry for over 20 years. After being heavily involved in the family owned and run business Dean moved on to providing contract tree climbing services to numerous companies around Melbourne and Victoria as well as tree consultancy and arborist reports.
After successfully completing his certificate IV in Horticulture (Arboriculture) at Melbourne University's Burnley campus Dean moved overseas to begin a four-year stint working as a climbing arborist for a number of companies and countries in Europe.Working with some of the leading climbing arborists in the world Dean continued to learn and improve his skills and knowledge.
His roles abroad included running the prestigious Royal Parks contract in London, working in such places as, St James's Park, Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square, and Pall Mall, even carrying out tree removal tasks in the Princess Diana memorial fountain in London's famous Hyde Park.

Tree FX carries out all tree pruning according to the Australian Standard: AS4373-2007 (Pruning of Amenity Trees). All trees are different, and each tree requires a visual tree assessment by a qualified arborist to determine the most appropriate methods of pruning to achieve the desired result. Removal of poorly attached branches or stems which may be a high risk of failing in high winds or storms.
Tree FX are experienced and extensively trained to carry out any tree removal job safely and efficiently. When planning a tree removal, our first priority is the safety of our staff our clients and the general public. Before any work commences a detailed Job Safety Analysis (JSA) will be carried out by all staff present, to ensure a safe, smooth and effective tree removal job is attained.
When carrying out stump removal it is important to have a thorough understanding of underground services and be able to identify and accurately locate potential problems associated with these. Standard practice is stump are ground to minimum 300mm below ground level (where services allow), ready for replanting.

As Tree FX has evolved the need for arboricultural consultancy such as report writing for tree removal applications and other planning applications has increased. Extremely impressed with TreeFX. Very professional and punctual from quoting to completing the job. The guys also did a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. When I phoned afterwards to enquire about mulch I mentioned a trivial issue which was due to a misunderstanding on my part. I then received a phone call from one of the arborists wanting to hear about it so that they could see if anything needed improving on their end. Such fantastic customer service. I will definitely call them again if I need anymore tree work.

The tree pruning was done quickly and efficiently. They arrived on time and cut the branches required leaving the tree balanced and the area neat. I will probably call them again as I have several large trees which need a bit of pruning.

Really good job done of clearing overgrown driveway plantings. Very knowledgeable and at the initial consultation and quote we were offered a lot of information and suggestions of what we could do and how to maintain it going forward. Would not hesitate to call TreeFX again.

Tree FX team helped us with a number of jobs in our back garden, which included the creation of a habitat tree from a dead and unstable Eucalyptus (images attached don't do justice to a fantastic job). They were: on time, courteous, professional, thorough and respectful of our property and the others on the development.
For me it was important that they clearly explained what they were going to do, how and why and they left the place in an immaculate condition. I would very strongly recommend calling Tree FX for a quote, instead of trying to take care of overgrown trees in the garden yourself

We had Tree FX here today to remove some large trees. So impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. Friendly, happy and very polite men. We have had a different arborist company here before and were not impressed. We would highly recommend Tree FX to anyone needing tree care as well as removal.

I was so impressed by this team. They worked so hard and did a brilliant job. The guys cleaned up thoroughly and respected the property. Not only did they do the job well, it was completed with a ‘can do’ positive attitude by all three. They were friendly and polite and seemed to enjoy what they do. Would not hesitate to recommend. Office staff were great with the booking and questions. A pleasure to deal with such an organised and fabulous company. Well done Tree FX!

A dead tree on our property uprooted and was resting on the branches of the tree on the nature strip. It was in real danger of falling onto the footpath and road on a hot (42°!) and windy day. The council and SES couldn't help so we called the wonderful Susy from Tree FX.
Their friendly team, led by Geert, was here within within 2 hours and removed the tree quickly.
Can't say enough nice things about them. We had an open for inspection the next day, so to have a dangerous tree in the front yard would've been a disaster. They're life savers!
