Dee Why Plumbers was bought as a going concern by George Zimbos in the late 1970's. The company was run by George for 30 years who built up Dee Why Plumbers Pty Ltd's reputation as a trusted and reliable business over this time. In the 90's Linda (his daughter) joined the team and completed her apprenticeship, to become one of the only women plumbers servicing the Northern Beaches.

Handy Tips Report

Always know where your meter/isolating tap is to your house or unit in case of an emergency. If you are in a situation where your home is flooding the first thing to do is turn off the water at this tap. In a unit, your isolating tap will generally look like a single tee head tap sticking out of the wall, however in a house the tap will be with the meter.

Ben arrived on time and quickly determined the fault with our hot water system. He had a replacement part in his van and tested its correct operation before tidying up and leaving.

After the hot water stopped in the shower, I called Dee Why plumbers, Linda at the office was sympathetic to my concerns and sent the guys round to fix it the same day. They also located and fixed a leak. The lads were friendly and knew their trade. They did their work and made sure everything was working as it should be before leaving. Simple and effective firm. DY Plumbers were great! Linda kept me informed of when they could do my (not urgent) job, Ben turned up exactly at the time arranged, fully briefed and ready to start work. Job of burying a previously suspended sewer pipe was completed reasonably quickly despite having to excavate some sandstone to put the pipe deep enough. Ben tested the new junctions and took photos before putting the soil back and you would never know the job was done recently.
Prepared, efficient, thorough, and everything tidy at the end. Great service!
