Selkirk Bricks are a pathetic excuse for a business. Any normal person knows not to buy bricks from here. They treat there staff like dirt often using bully & stand over tactics if you disagree with there level of competency. The machinery is unsafe. Smoke coming out of the kiln filling up the factory everyday for a period of 1 year or more. Worksafe rang multiple times but Selkirk were more worried about who rang worksafe rather then fixing the problem with the kiln causing workers health issues.

If your builder is using this company for the brick selection, do yourself a favour and avoid it.
The quality and look is terrible. they have the best bricks in the pallet selection but the real bricks are nothing close to the pallet, avoid the musket haze bricks.

Uses casual staff for 3mths then let's them go so they don't have to offer full time. (As per agreement upon employment that they go fulltime in 3mths) Claims due to financial issues but then goes out and hires more casuals.

They were good bricks. Now they are terrible. Doesn't matter what type of selkirk it is. They vary in size 20mm from each other. Ends aren't square. Making corners and piers look terrible and size difference makes bond change. Trying to run on an old reputation they arent worthy of.
