Services
HJW Carpentry was established by Henry Weldon - a skilled carpenter with experience working in both the UK and Australia. Henry has a wealth of experience in dealing with and managing commercial projects and heritage restorations/renovations. HJW Carpentry is a Pty Ltd company offering a quality service from start to finish employing the best tradesman and training the keenest apprentices.
If you own a heritage building in Perth and want to restore it to as close to its original condition as possible, you need a skilled craftsperson with a passion for history. Restoring a historical building demands that a carpenter must do the research on both the era in which the home was built and on the individual building itself.
HJW is an independent installer of the Sealasash Window Renewal System in WA. We can help you restore existing sash windows, repair broken sash windows, and breathe new life into old sash windows. The Sealasash system is sympathetic to the design of older sash windows. This means, you preserve the beauty of the original features of your sash windows.
Our extensive knowledge in on-site restoration, draught sealing and glazing has helped us tweak standard joinery and woodworking details to help produce efficient and practical windows. With a huge range of sealing systems we implement the correct seal to all of our work produced to make them operate beautifully.
When it's time to update your kitchen or laundry, HJW Carpentry offers first-class customer service and superior workmanship for timeless cabinets that are made to last. Your kitchen is the heart of your home. It is not just where you cook meals, but where you meet one another for a chat, pause for a moment with your favourite drink, make plans and create memories.

Henry and his team did an excellent job rebuilding the large timber front verandah of my house. I look forward to working with them again, and I recommend them without hesitation.
In detail...
I was on the roof of the front verandah of my 1920s house, cleaning gutters, when a tile sank under my foot. A rafter had detached from its beam. The end of the rafter was rotten. Looking around, I saw rotten timber everywhere. The gutters and downpipes were also in poor repair.
I asked friends for recommendations for carpenters and did my own research. I found Henry on the web.
I got three quotes. I
