At Great Lakes Home Improvements, I provide a quality building design & drafting service for all types of residential building projects. I have more than 30 years experience in the design and construction of residential buildings. My design service includes new homes, extensions, renovations and alterations, dual occupancies, secondary dwellings (granny flats), garages and carports and decks and pergolas.

I will take your design from first consultation, through preliminary sketch plans, Council Development Application (DA) submission and to full detailed construction drawings. Basix Certificates, Shadow Diagrams, Bushfire Assessments and most other Council requirements are no problem whatsoever. If you need a Surveyor, Structural Engineer or any other specialist consultant I can help you with that as well.

Why get plans Report

Well why do you need to get plans? Most people believe that the reason you get plans is in order to obtain Council approval for your project. Well this is certainly one of the reasons to get plans but it is absolutely not the main reason. The main reason for getting plans is for the Builder.

The Design Process Report

Well the first and most important thing to do to get your project underway is to arrange a free First Consultation Meeting. Preparation of the Preliminary Plans is charged at an hourly rate as the time taken to arrive at the final design cannot be determined in advance.
