Fixed Gas & Electrical Services is a family owned company which has been servicing, repairing & installing gas heating, evaporative cooling, air-conditioning & hot water services in the northern suburbs for over 14 years. We are fully licenced, insured and regularly update our training with the major manufacturers of heating and cooling.
With our technical information and training we can solve your heating problems efficiently and cost effectively. We service and repair most brands of gas ducted heating, space heating & wall furnaces. We are service agents for Lennox and Bosch and authorised repairers for Vulcan, Bonaire, Celair, Pyrox, Braemar, Brivis, Carrier, Hurlcon & Raypack.
We clean the inside of the cooler, clean and check the condition of components, replace worn or broken parts and sanitise the cooler. We use biodegradable sanitisers that are safe to be aspirated. For an evaporative cooler to work effectively, the hot air has to be able to escape out of your home. The best approach is to open windows or doors that are furthest away from the air conditioning vents.
Carbon monoxide (CO) testing is included in our gas heating servicing. CO can be produced in large quantities if your heater does not completely burn the gas it uses. This can happen for a number of reasons but the most common causes are faults e.g. Energy Safe Victoria has advised that a cracked heat exchanger is non-compliant and the unit has to be shut down.
Genuine parts should always be used when repairing gas and electrical appliances. All equipment is approved by the Statutory Authorities with the original parts used at the time of the approval. For equipment to stay within the Standards, the parts used must be approved by the manufacturers and the Australian Standards.
