Services
Commencing his career as a Motor Trimmer, John worked in a variety of businesses throughout Northeast Victoria and developed skills in canvas and marine design and manufacturing. Clayden Canvas commenced operating in 1999 from a workshop located in Hay Avenue, Wangaratta. The business initially commenced as a canvas, motor trimming and upholstery workshop.
We manufacture both Commercial and Domestic Shade sails from a commercial grade shade cloth (Commercial 95). This shade cloth is strong and durable with a shade factor and UV block up to 97%. Commercial 95 comes in a great range of colours and has a 10 year UV degradation warranty. All of our shade sails are sewn with a high quality UV thread and are fitted with high grade stainless steel Dee rings.
Our designs can vary according to customers requirements from a simple awning roof up to a full annex which can include flywire doors, flywire or clear PVC windows, PVC or mesh floor and draught skirts. These products can be made in stripe or plain PVC or canvas, or several styles of mesh which offer different benefits including shade, airflow and privacy.
We manufacture ute and trailer canopies out of a very heavy duty CS12 tear-stop canvas. This canvas is designed for truck tarps so offers the benefit of being very hard wearing and designed to handle travel at highway speed. We also offer a heavy duty PVC option with similar qualities but slightly different benefits.
