I found John when searching for a door maintenance service after having called numerous companies that came up on my google search. Every single one of them quoted a call out fee, John on the other hand, was only too happy to offer some helpful advice. After explaining the issues I had with my door, John asked me to send him some photos. Not long after, he called me back and explained what may have been the issue and how I could go about fixing it myself, rather than paying big $$. I'm so happy with the job done by John & Josh on my bi-fold doors. We've owned the house for 16 years and they have never run so smoothly ...... ever!
I was dealing with original bi-fold doors which required all my strength to open and close. AJ doors were able to inspect, diagnose the issue and propose a solution (which required John to make a part to fit as the old parts were obsolete).
Even better, when completing the job one of the parts didn't require replacement so it was $300 less than the original quote. Good news!
I found John to be a very honest tradesman - they focus on doors and

The team at AJ Doors, John and Josh, responded to my query within 24 hours and we’re at my place two days later fixing my custom semi commercial top hung architectural sliding doors. Took over 4 hours as the team resolved each issue to get the doors perfectly aligned and sliding. They guys were on time and very reasonably priced. They showed me how I could do simple long term maintenance to maintain the doors in good working order which will same me thousands in the long run.

After prepaying $250 for a quote to service my bi-fold doors, John came out and said that they couldn't help as my floors were unlevel and I needed a structural engineer. John told me the work would cost tens of thousands of dollars. He googled a couple of companies who may be able to help and agreed to return once the floors were level. Neither company recommended by him was able to help and a structiural engineer that we found did a review and arranged for the necessary work - which cost less than $8k! I contacted John again as he had agreed to return after the work was done; only to be told

John and Josh are a lovely father and son team who did a wonderful job repairing my screen and sliding doors. Their communication was excellent and the repair work was done within 24 hours of my initial phone call. The team showed up on time and the work was completed to a high standard at the agreed price. I also found John to be very patient, fair and knowledgeable. He was probably more budget-conscious than I was and didnt use my inexperience with renovations against me.
