To mark Mick Hogg's retirement at 85 years young, we've had a short documentary video commissioned that includes both our business history as well as Mick's life. Project Lighting was founded by Mick Hogg in 1972. He took up a partnership with Building Electrical Supplies, which was soon renamed Project Lighting in premises in Altree Court, Phillip, ACT, Australia.
We have always had as an important feature of our business the target markets of: Domestic Lighting, Electrical contractors, Architects, Consultants and Commercial Developers. With the rapid development of Canberra in the 1970's, a new shop was opened in the new town of Belconnen in 1976. The premises were located in Nettlefold Street.
The growing business at Phillip required expansion so the electrical trade store was moved to Botany Street in 1983. The establishment of the new town in the Tuggeranong Valley prompted the opening of another new branch located at the Erindale Centre in Wanniassa in 1988. Further population growth in the Tuggeranong Valley prompted a move from Erindale to the Tuggeranong Town Centre in 1992.

Living room lighting is very important to the overall design of the room. It can serve many functions that go beyond just simply lighting the room. In addition to the light feature itself being a design element, it can highlight a piece of art or it can create a dramatic or luxurious look. As in your kitchen and bath, you can also layer your lighting in the living room to suit your specific needs.
When planning your dining room lighting, consider if you'll only be using the room for meals or if you need the space for projects or food preparation.
