Our skilled tradespeople provide personalised support you through every step of the project, with dedicated after sales service and support. Engineered timber floorboards have a thin layer of cosmetic timber over bonded layers of supporting timber. It's basically a thick veneer. They still display the characteristics of natural timber but can only be re-sanded and rejuvenated a couple of times, depending on the condition.

We contacted “Distinctive Timber Floors” who came out pretty quickly to look at the job as it was only a small part of our timber floors we needed to be done after renovations.
Richard said that he could match it to be very close to what we currently have. It turned out totally different (see photo).
I questioned him and asked if we could try something different, as I thought it may have been the "Sanding Sealer" he applied that made the timber a lot lighter.
I was told by Richard that he had nearly 30 years’ experience in timber floors and he wouldn’t try something else or waste his

We would highly recommend Richard and his team, they were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish! Richard was always prompt in his communication, they were really flexible with the timing of the job to meet our deadline to move in and they were the most competitively priced (of four quotes). Ashley did a brilliant job of sanding and restoring the Jarrah and Baltic Pine floorboards in our house to their former glory. They also did a full clean up before they left, which was much more thorough than any other contractor we’ve ever used. We would absolutely use their services again

Bought a most unique timber for the entire home. The timber company itself let me down from the purchase of the timbers to delivery.
After waiting three weeks for a quote from timber yard's foremost recommended floor layer, I called for another contact. They reluctantly put me onto Richard from Distinctive Flooring who came out the next day, gave me a firm quote that afternoon and started the project as soon as the timber had acclimatised to the property.
The man laying the timbers (Alex) was amazing with his particular attention to detail. Communication was regular and all timber yard's mistakes
