Barry's Electrical Contracting is a family business that has been operating locally in Brisbane since 1989. Chris Barry started out as a Army Apprentice and served 9 years in the military before moving to Brisbane. Mason Barry has been apprenticed through the business and is now fully qualified as an electrician with telephone and data cabling endorsements.
I had a call today from Christie who said her parents were having problems with their safety switch in their home at Keperra. I promptly made an appointment for a little time later. We arrived just before lunch as Robert was washing the car out the front. I had a conversation with Robert about the nature of the fault and its frequency as well as finding out what he had tried to locate the problem.
I went to a Job last week at Upper Kedron where the owner was concerned about the washing machine plug that was overheated and causing problems with the program running through to the end. She thought she may have needed a new washing machine. I enquired further and found out that the unit had been plugged into a power board because the power point was not in a preferable position.

Had Chris come today after yesterday’s storm took out the cable to the house.
So friendly and prompt! I was so very grateful for his service and he had us back up and running in a timely manner!
Not only that, they found some baby feather gliders on a neighbours’ power pole, but put all work on hold until they were safely taken care of. Huge respect for their priority to our wildlife.

Chris and Mason have been attending to a variety of electrical needs since we moved into our home, almost 10 years ago. From automated blinds, TV connections, many fancy switches and lights and also ceiling fans. And on that, Chris gave us great advice on the selection process of ceiling fans based on the room that they are to be used in. Over time as we had a need, we would call Chris for his advice on our selection process and then a call back to him to arrange the installation. Perfect! Our trust in his service and degree of experience counts for more than most people can understand these days

My Mum recommended Barry's Electrical to me. Today I called Chris and he listened to my problem and arranged to view my electrical situation in his own time after work. Chris promptly send me a detailed text on the issues and relevant legislation. Chris then followed up with a call and text messages.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of emailing a specification of work we have for a current job and following up with a phone call the next day to see if Barrys' electrical was interested. Apparently my behaviour when I commented that a reply to an email would have been appreciated was out of line and warranted the threats and profanity shown in the image.

I just wanted to say how thankful I am that I called Barry's Electrical, I moved into a new house and waited all day for Energex to turn up just to find out they could not turn the power on as the house needed things fixed first. I called Barry's at 3pm on a Friday afternoon thinking I would need to wait till at least Monday for someone to come out and fix the issues, not the case, I had someone at my house within 1 hour of calling and he had everything fixed and the power on by 5pm. I am so very thankful as a weekend without power would have been very difficult and cold. The service was wonderful
