I contacted the Extension Factory regarding an extension project for our family home. Design consultant Lew came out to discuss our plans and four weeks later he advised me over the phone ( after I followed up ) that the cost is slightly higher than expected. Mind you, it was 50%!
He asked me about the cost of other quotes "to get a feeling for the current market" and when I was hesitant to reveal he asked me in a disturbingly rude tone "Don't you want to tell me?"
Significantly cheaper quotes from local reputable builders were put down as unrealistic and unprofessional. Assumptions like that

Sent an enquiry to find out more about their process, pricing etc to complete an extension on my home. Got a call back the next day which was great. The lady booked an appointment for someone to come out and chat to us 3-4 weeks later. I asked for a call a day or so before to remind me of the appointment as I'm a busy business owner.

It is interesting to see these guys using their own contractors and community organisations they support to bump up their star rating.
The reviews from their customers tell a different story, one that from what I have seen, is an indication of how they operate, 1 star is generous.
They built the second floor too high and had to have the floor structure redesigned to make the stairs comply. They neglected to get the frame inspected by the building surveyor before cladding and plastering and were lucky that my partner had taken photos of the frame that the building surveyor could use to approve

Been working on and off as a contractor with extension factory for almost a decade. Great communication all round from the head office to your project manager. All trades are expected to deliver a high standard, Project manager frequently inspect works to guarantee compliance and standards. Never had any issues with payment unlike a lot of other companies in the industry. All job sites I have worked on the client are always happy with the service they're receiving.
Would recommend to any job seekers or people looking to renovate.

I have and currently been a plumbing/ roof plumbing contractor for the Extension Factory for the past 26 years. Social media and leaving reviews on various things we do now a days has become the new way of recommending or not someone , and how a bad review can effect restaurants tours on holidays & hotels we stay at due to some people not happy with service. I wish to thank everyone at The Extension Factory for the terrific job they did renovating my parents home that we grew up in.
