As both the founder of Viva Cabinets and a master craftsman, Jo Hanlon has over twenty years experience as a top cabinet maker. Beginning his apprenticeship in 1991, Jo worked for a range of large, well known cabinet makers and shopfitters, before starting Viva Cabinets in 2001, as a smaller 'boutique-style' company that focuses on quality over profits and that specialises in both renovation projects and brand new homes.
At Viva Cabinets, we are accomplished at a range of kitchen, bathroom vanity and other types of cabinetry for new homes, renovations, offices and retail fitouts. Our approach has our client's wishes central to everything we do, ensuring only the best quality work. This means that we use only the finest quality materials and European hardware (such as Blum hardware) and of course the best quality craftsmanship.
They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, which is why, at Viva Cabinets, we know the difference an expertly designed and crafted kitchen makes. From renovations and upgrades to new builds, a Viva custom made kitchen will allow you to maximise your available space as well as compliment the style of your home.
Viva Cabinets offer a range of cabinet making services and joinery for homes and offices. While these services are available, of course, on a single project basis, if you are looking for a more complicated project, you might be interested to know that we actually specialise in full scale architectural fit outs.

Jo and his great team recently updated our laundry and the vanity in our ensuite including stone bench tops.
Every person we dealt with was friendly and professional. They gave us great advice and made the whole process easy for us, all the tradespeople were on time and had great attention to detail. Last year I had my kitchen renovated and couldn't be happier with the end result. Jo was incredible to work with on getting ideas for the layout and designing the final look. Super responsive and great to work with. Dan who installed the cabinetry was efficient and accommodating. The final fit out looks amazing and high quality. Would not hesitate to recommend! Great service, people and company.

Jo and the Viva Cabinets team were incredible to work with! Jo came around to do the measurements and had the new cabinet finished so quickly and the price was extremely reasonable. The finished product worked perfectly in our kitchen and the quality was very good! My husband and I were very impressed and grateful for the work of the Viva cabinets team! We reached out to Viva Cabinets after not being satisfied with the design and price of other companies. Holly was a pleasure to work with, she was able to create the design we were seeking. And was forever helpful for the small bits and pieces like tap, rangehood, handled and colour, etc selection. The install team were great too, Dan and his team worked hard and spent time making sure everything was done perfectly. There insights of other trades was deeply apprecited by the plumber and electrician. Joe should be proud of a fantastic team.

We had a vision and Viva Cabinets made this come to fruition! The result was outstanding and we couldn’t be happier with our outdoor BBQ Kitchen! Working with Holy in the design process was an absolute pleasure. Her appliance recommendations were absolutely spot on and complemented the overall design perfectly.
