I’ve just had solar panels installed by Roland Lawrence Electrical. He was highly recommended by a friend which I think is important, as one hears about horror stories where poor installation and faulty product spirals out of control.
The whole experience was so positive I thought I should share. Roland took time to give me all the options, explained exactly what I should install and which product was most appropriate for my needs. He required a whole year’s electricity bills so he could calculate this accurately.

RLE provided me with guidance in selecting an upgrade to my solar panels and adding a battery. This included advising on the pros and cons of installing a battery, and the different options available. They then did the installation. It has all gone very well. I found Roland and his team very professional and easy to deal with. I highly recommend them.

Roland spent a lot of time trying to ascertain our needs. We are 100% off grid and now know how important this initial fact find was. He then provided a clear quote in a timely manner. Roland and his team turned up on time on the day of installation and worked tirelessly to get it done. The installation was neat and robust and all materials and rubbish was cleaned up and removed at the end. We are thrilled with the result and cannot recommend Roland highly enough.

- Roland was helpful and informative - I sort of knew what I wanted for solar, but I also needed a bit of guidance, and Roland gave good reasons for the decisions he made in terms of panel placement and capacity. We have a large flat part of our roof that is slightly southern facing, and I wanted to know whether it was an option for putting panels on. He provided a solution that no other company had thought of, which may have given 13% less capacity, but made the most of a part of my roof at the back of the house that would also reduce the heat in summer due to panels.

Roland impressed from the outset. Very personable and easy going, yet obviously knows his stuff! He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and followed up with phone calls and emails to answer any queries. Not the cheapest quote we received but just had the right feeling about the service Roland would deliver over other companies.
Installation process was professional and although interrupted by unforecast heavy showers, the team returned the following day to finish the job. Was also impressed to see a female apprentice as part of the team :)

Quality installation from Roland and his team. Really professional outfit. Very responsive at the quotation stage, patient with all the questions we had. No surprises during installation – of the six companies we contacted for quotes only Roland went out on roof to eyeball the installation site. He gave us exactly what we wanted. The system works a treat and the install looks great. Highly recommend.

We were recommended Roland and his team from a friend of mine who works in the industry . I had gotten 4 prior quotes but was not impressed with their proposals. After seeing Roland’s reviews we contacted Roland and we found Roland to be fantastic. He was also the only one who actually accessed the roof to do a proper measurement and worked out exact number of panels required.

From start to finish Roland and his team from RLE were extremely profesional and courteous in the way they quoted and completed the installation of our 6.6kWh system.
For the quoting process Roland climbed onto the roof with his tape measure and also had a good look at the meter setup and where we may locate the inverter in a tight space. His system design and quote arrived several days latter. It was very detailed and easy to understand. After several conversations with Roland we made the decision to go ahead and signed the contract.

Highly recommended. I used Roland Lawrence for a 6kw solar installation. Professional throughout the process. His team is great. Always kept me informed and turned up when they said they would. They fixed problems before I even noticed and have a high attention to detail. System works perfectly and supplied tools and apps are a treat to work with and better than I was expecting.
